In August, a modification of Incredibox called Sprunki was released. It picked up a bit of popularity, and not long after, a bunch of websites started popping up trying to take advantage of that. Most of them did pretty well. Sometime around mid-October (roughly the 10th–20th), one particular site appeared. At first it didn’t seem too unusual, but over time it started gaining more attention. Nothing major really happened during this period, aside from occasional attempts to get the site taken down.
Things stayed pretty quiet from January through March. In April, though, the site received an update that added a second “game.” Around this time, people also began digging into the site’s code, since it still hadn’t been taken down. That’s when some strange things started turning up. Here’s what the archive team found:
-Multiple references to a place called Halcyr Peak
-In the first game’s code (after decompiling it), a censored image that appeared to show a mutilated body, labelled “Finley Williams, Halcyr Peak.” This image has since been removed from the archive.
-Several mentions of an unknown creature
On 13th July, there were two notable updates. The first, at 4:37 AM, added Sprunki Night Time to the site and removed the Finley Williams image from the original game’s files. The second, at 5:04 AM, added what looked like a parody of the original Incredibox. Finally, on 14th August, the website was taken down completely.This archive was created. At first, it was just a straightforward reupload of the original site, but it has since been changed and adjusted for safety reasons. What you’re seeing now is the current version of the archive.
